In an announcement received via email earlier this week, Dairy Queen named Mint Oreo as the theme of their Blizzard of the Month for March 2014. This re-release comes equipped with smooth, minty vanilla soft serve and crunchy crumbled Oreo cookie pieces.
While the familiar flavor combinations and textures were delicious and worked well with each other, the lack of creativity and other mix-ins really held this one back. Compared to some of the other mint-themed ice creams currently on the market, this minty-vanilla, neon-green soft serve and Oreo chunks just can’t hold up. Another deduction came from the fact that once the first half of the Blizzard was gone, so were all the Oreos.
