REVIEW: Edy's Slow Churned Coffee & Cookies Delight
After both Luscious Red Velvet Cake and Cinnamon Bun Fun! had exceeded our expectations, we felt it necessary to give the last remaining Bakery Treats flavor a try. This Slow Churned version of Coffee & Cookies Delight is made of coffee light ice cream with chocolaty covered cookie pieces and contains only 110 calories per serving. As expected, the texture of the light ice cream leaves a lot to be desired, and unfortunately, the taste wasn't much better. Even for reduced-fat, chemical-filled ice creams, this one still didn't make the cut. The artificial coffee flavor is aggressive and is only slightly redeemed by the crunchy boulders of chocolate cookies that make their way into a few bites here and there. We’d suggest sticking to red velvet or cinnamon buns when checking out Edy’s latest lineup.
