REVIEW: Baskin Robbins Cookies 'N Cream

After firing off a few quick reviews of our shipment of pre-packaged pints from Baskin-Robbins, we went on a short hiatus, but yesterday in need of something simple and sweet, it was time for their Cookies ’N Cream to be put under the microscope. The first layer of this vanilla ice cream and chocolate creme sandwich cookies looked like many others.

That soon changed once we started hitting some serious-sized cookie chunks. Baskin Robbins included enough of these that it was hard to concentrate on the vanilla, but that’s okay because the base wasn’t intended to be the focus of this flavor. The ice cream, although overshadowed by the mix-ins, still provided most things you’d ask for in a classic cookies and cream flavor.

The soft, creme-filled sandwich cookies pair perfectly with the mild vanilla and reiterates the fact that Baskin Robbins is a seasoned veteran when it comes to ice cream. If cookies and cream is your style, these 14 ounce cartons should easily satisfy those cravings. Let's be clear though, Graeter's still rules the Cookies & Cream category.
