I recently ran across an article outlining a DC based business that were using tricycles to bring their gourmet ice cream sandwiches to the masses. According to their website, “
The idea for a fleet of ice cream bicycles in DC came from the streets of chef Carlos Delgado's native country - Peru.” He had seen companies in Lima deliver ice cream around the city and decided to take the same concept and run with it, but with a better, more unique product. The result is a
new twist on an old classic. Flavors like Mexican Jalapeno Chocolate, Cereal Milk, and Nutella White Chocolate are sure to excite taste buds everywhere.

Cream Cycle DC isn’t Chef Delgado’s only claim to fame though. He also has worked at B
ryan Voltaggio’s highly acclaimed Volt prior to this (where he was nominated for the Washington City Paper’s Best Chef in DC). Although he heads the Cream Cycle movement, he remains the Executive Chef of Longboard Hospitality where he oversees operations at the
Caucus Room and
