Following the unfortunate passing of James Gandolfini, star of HBO's The Sopranos, Holsten’s Brookdale Confectionary paid tribute by reserving the table in which the show's final scene was filmed. The New Jersey ice cream parlor was made famous by hosting the show’s series finale and perhaps the most riveting, controversial piece of television ever produced. After hearing word of Gandolfini’s tragic heart attack, they honored him by not allowing anyone to sit in his booth.
If you’re in the area, I suggest stopping in and enjoying some ice cream in honor of an American television icon. As an avid ice cream eater throughout the show, he’d probably suggest one of their super-sized sundaes.
