In the past we've found that the unassuming blue cartons and boxes put out by PET Dairy have held some pretty impressive creations. Flavors like Chocolate Cream Cupcake and Cookies N' Cream Extreme were even able to obtain top grades. That led us to further analyze some of the more unassuming titles in their lineup in an attempt to find a few more hidden gems. It wasn't until we took a closer look at the description of their unassuming Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough that we realized we had been missing out on a flavor featuring a cookie flavored base.
Our first bite of this uniquely flavored ice cream was a pleasant affirmation of what we'd expected based on our previous experiences with this brand. The premium consistency wasn't quite as impressive as some of PET's pint sized competition, but the taste more than made up for the soft feel. Once the chocolate chip flakes and cookie dough balls were introduced to the equation, this quickly elevated itself to one of our best cookie dough options available if you're watching your waistline and happen to be seeking out a low-calorie option.
