NEWS: New Orleans Ice Cream Co. Sends Some Samples!

I received an email last week from New Orleans Ice Cream Company inquiring about whether or not I'd like to try some of their products and write some reviews for you fine people. I immediately accepted the chance to review a new brand for the blog and gave them my info.

I returned from my first trip to The Big Easy a few months ago, so I was still familiar with the unique and flavorful tastes of New Orleans. Concentrating on the classic entree dishes in my trip to Louisiana, I wasn't able to do much exploration of the ice cream scene. Lucky for me, New Orleans Ice Cream Company delivers. This morning I awoke to this package sporting "keep frozen" and "perishable" stickers. Slicing through the tape, I uncovered a sealed styrofoam box filled with dry ice and ice cream from Ice Cream Source, as well as an inventory list.

I was expecting 1 or 2 pints, but 8 is certainly a way to get in my good graces. There's certainly not too much of a good thing when it comes to ice cream. Flinging off the top of the cooler, flavors like Cafe Au Lait & Beignets, Mississippi Debris, and Hubig's Apple Pie leave me salivating as I inhaled the carbon dioxide of the dry ice. So stay tuned over the next few weeks as I start cranking out unbiased reviews for all these fabulous sounding flavors!
