REVIEW: Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae (Walmart Exclusive)
Thanks to social media, it doesn't take long before we're notified of new flavors hitting shelves. Around this time of year, we're used to seeing peppermint and pumpkin themed products, but Ben & Jerry's once again sticks to simple ingredients with their latest exclusive flavor for Walmart called Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae. This limited batch flavor features Fair Trade vanilla ice cream with fudge brownies & a crunchy peanut buttery swirl.
Like most other peanut butter infused bases, the nutrition facts reflect the high fat content and at 1200 calories per pint, should probably only be enjoyed in moderation unless your individual diet and exercise plan leave you enough room to fit in the entire carton. After enjoying our first bite of the above average peanut butter ice cream, we'd suggesting skipping lunch in order to savor all four servings.
The brownies from Greyston Bakery are back and better than ever. These moist, fudge filled squares litter the pint from top to bottom and come together with the peanut butter base perfectly. The crunchy peanut butter swirl not only builds upon the ice cream itself, but also adds additional texture.
A big bite containing the peanut butter ice cream, crunchy peanut butter swirl, and a fudge brownie square only confirmed what we had expected from these classic, yet still effective, arrangement of ingredients. If you enjoy peanut butter themed ice creams, you will want to weather the storm of visiting Walmart to check this one out before Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae disappears for good.
