After the success of the Renzo Apple Pie-ano Ice Cream Sandwich from Coolhaus, we wanted more. While digging around in the bin of available combinations, we found this outdated, yet delicious sounding creation. Inspired by the season premier of Dexter (which was June 30th of 2013), Coolhaus brings together double chocolate & snickerdoodle cookies + tahitian vanilla bean and cherry swirl ice cream for their Killer Combo.
The tahitian vanilla bean ice cream was full of complex vanilla flavoring, but we were left wanting more of the tart cherry swirl that hardly made an appearance. Luckily for the inside of this sandwich, the two outer cookies picked up a lot of the slack. Bites containing all of the different components took a while to process, but the mouthful of rich, dark chocolate chips left behind from the double chocolate chip cookie was enough to elevate this cookie’s grade to a B.
