REVIEW: Turkey Hill All Natural Salted Caramel with Sea Salt

Unfortunately for us living in certain parts of North Carolina, a lot of the fun flavors put out by Turkey Hill are unobtainable without doing some driving. Because of this we don’t really get to do any many reviews on this brand as we’d like, but recently one of our local grocers started stocking a few more options; including their All Natural Salted Caramel with Sea Salt. Usually we wouldn’t be too excited about a carton containing only a base and a swirl, but then we popped off the lid.

At only 160 calories per serving, and sporting one of the shortest ingredients list we’ve seen from a large manufacturer, Turkey Hill’s ode to simplicity has one of the most aesthetically pleasing first layers you’ll find. We’ll just let the video below do the talking:

The powerful sea salt swirl was included with such frequency that the two ingredients were practically impossible to try separately. Perhaps we’d fallen victim to the placebo effect, but this slow-melting, smooth vanilla ice cream seemed superior to their standard vanilla we’ve had in other flavors. Once the the salty caramel sauce mixed together with the sugary ice cream, it should come as no surprise that this was a huge hit for the ones of us that enjoy a sweet and savory creation.
