Talenti and their transparent pints of gelatos are widely available at most supermarkets these days, but the flavor above was one we hadn't been able to find since its release earlier this year. Raspberries & Cream is described as juicy pieces of fresh raspberries are blended into our sweet cream gelato. A tart raspberry ripple is added for a fresh and creamy finish. While a sweet cream base may seem a bit boring, our first bite of the off-white gelato was smooth, full of authentic cream flavoring and would serve as a nice foundation for the fruity components to come.
Not only does Talenti include bits of actual raspberries within the sweet cream base, but they also add a slightly sour raspberry ripple to really drive home the theme of this flavor. Along with their natural tart taste, Talenti also adds a bit of balsamic vinegar to the equation to help stabilize things out; an interesting touch. Despite this well balanced mixture, the small stature of the mix-ins hold this one back from reaching its full potential.
